Director of Music
Michael Langham

One of the greatest blessings in my life has been the opportunity to use my musical gifts to serve God and lead the Lord’s worshippers in praise and adoration. I came back to the Bay Area to lead the Music Ministry of St. Stephen’s in the fall of 2016. If I’m not making music at church, you might find me conducting in the pit for a musical, playing with a symphony orchestra, in the park playing harp for a wedding or showing an Australian Terrier in confirmation at a dog show. In my spare time, I plan to finish my doctoral studies in 2020.

Associate Minister for Formation
Rev. Ethan Lowery
Ethan Lowery joined the staff of St. Stephen’s as youth minister in the fall of 2015. He recently completed his Masters of Divinity at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and is currently writing a thesis for his Masters of Arts in sociology of religion. He is also in the ordination process in the Diocese of California. Over the years, he’s enjoyed serving as a summer camp chaplain at The Bishop’s Ranch and St. Dorothy’s Rest and working as a church consultant and trainer for the College for Congregational Development. In his spare time, you’ll find him at home, on his couch, eating a carbohydrate, watching Star Trek on Netflix, and playing Animal Crossing (yes, all three at once).

Children’s Minister and Preschool Director
Tracie Nelson
I love my job. Spending time with children and families is such a blessing. When I am not working I like to spend time with my husband and four kids. I also enjoy reading, hiking, listening to live music, and walking my dog, Maisy.
